Free SMPTE Workshops Feature Leading International Presenters

International and local experts will present complimentary workshops during the SMPTE Conference and Exhibition in Sydney July 19-22 as part of Digistor's Theatrette on the exhibition show floor.

At the exclusive Digistor Theatrette, local and international presenters will deliver short, informative presentations/demonstrations covering the "hot topics" and latest products for the digital media industry. Topic: Going Tapeless With "Antiques Roadshow"
Tony is a post-production professional with 22 years of experience divided between working in product development and sales for technology manufacturers such as Avid, Softimage, Assimilate and AJA and as a creative online editor/graphics professional working on commercials, live events, awards shows, television and feature films.

John (Chopper) Harris, Marketing Director, root6
Topics: Automated File Based Workflows
Trained in electronic engineering, John worked at Abekas Video Systems, Ampex and Avid Technology and then co-founded root6 with a group of senior Avid staff 13 years ago. root6 is a leading supplier of creative technology to the UK's broadcasters, production houses and post production facilities developed ContentAgent, the company's proprietary transcoding and workflow management tool.
